Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with the motto “Hellenic culture and Christian ideals.” Its colors are cardinal and straw and its flower is a white carnation.

Penn’s Beta Alpha Chapter of Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1919.
