BIOGRPAHICAL NOTE
Rhevea Ott Shryock was a certified professional parliamentarian, and wife of Richard Harrison Shryock. She was educated at the University of Pennsylvania (B.S. 1919) and Ohio State University (M.A.) Shryock served as a consulting parliamentarian for numerous local, state and national organizations during her career; and was the author of Parliamentary Procedure Made Easy. She was a reviewer and consultant to Scott Foresman, publisher, for Roberts’ Rules of Order Newly Revised; and served as president of the University of Pennsylvania, Association of Alumnae (1961-1962) and as chairman of the University of Pennsylvania, Alumnae Bequest Committee (1970-1974). For her work she was the recipient of University of Pennsylvania Alumni Award of Merit (1964) and Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania (1977).
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
Contents are primarily correspondence and working files created while employed as a consulting Parliamentarian; while serving as an officer and board member of various organizations and institutions; while a member of professional associations; as an author and lecturer on parliamentary procedure.
