PROVENANCE

The University Map Collection was created during a review of the Archives oversized holdings. The maps were acquired individually at different periods of time, and were not part of any collection.

The University Map Collection is arranged alphabetically by map title.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The University Map Collection consists of maps that document the geographical history of the University of Pennsylvania, the City of Philadlephia, and the surrounding area. The buik of the collection is comprised of campus maps. There are a few associated maps – such as the map of Canton Christian College in China from 1905.
