The Bernhard Wolf Weinberger Scrapbook was transferred to the University Archives from the School of Dental Medicine Library (Accession number 2015: 018, May 2015).

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Bernhard Wolf Weinberger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine in 1908 with a D.D.S. Dr. Weinberger was born in Idaho Springs, Colorado on June 5, 1885. After graduating from Penn, he did graduate work in orthodontics at the Angle School of Orthodontia. Following his studies, Dr. Weinberger established a practice in New York City for over fifty years. He was noted for his study of dental history and literature, having published notable works in the field. He was also active in national and international dental societies. Following his retirement, Dr. Weinberger moved to New Orleans, where he died on May 8, 1960.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Bernhard Wolf Weinberger Scrapbook contains images of campus, faculty, and students; postcards; sporting events tickets and programs; and other memorabilia from Bernhard Wolf Weinberger’s time as a student at the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania from 1906 to 1908, and subsequent alumni events through to 1948. Dr. Weinberger’s 1908 class pin is also included.
