HISTORICAL NOTE

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Biological Clubs Records documents the activities of two short-lived clubs related to the study of biology shortly after the department was formed at the University of Pennsylvania. The minute books record the decisions and programs undertaken by the clubs and the membership volume contains the names (men and women) and place of residence of the members. In addition to this there is a copy of the constitution of the Zoological Club of the University of Pennsylvania. The recollections of Dr. J.P. Morris provide some history and context of these clubs in their related fields.
