University Relations Information Files UPF 8.5I

Access to collections is granted in accordance with the Protocols for the University Archives and Records Center.

Summary Information

Date [inclusive]
1881-2000
Extent
22.0 Cubic feet

SCOPE AND CONTENT

This collection consists principally of alphabetically arranged subject files created by the University’s public relations offices prior to 1984. The contents of the files have been augmented to some extent by University Archives staff. The typical file, however, contains clippings from University publications and copies of press releases, along with miscellaneous, associated University printed matter. The Information Files are therefore functionally identical to the files of the University News and Public Affairs Bureau. A comprehensive study of subject headings on 20th century University history requires a search of both the Information Files and the News and Public Affairs Records.
